Oak Logs
Oak is a beautiful firewood and cooking wood - it gives off a strong sweet smell even before you light it, and produces gorgeous smelling smoke as it burns. Oak wood is the most dense firewood produced in the UK, so it packs a huge amount of energy for you to turn into heat.
For all of oak's amazing properties, it needs to be very dry to burn efficiently so it gets longer in our kilns. It burns with a smaller active flame than species like beech or ash, but leaves very long-lasting embers. We combine it with other species like our mixed ash and beech logs.
