We love our Ooni Karu 16 and it's so versatile, with the ability to cook on wood only, charcoal only or a combination of the two, to achieve a huge range of cooking styles.

Our personal preference is a base of high quality lumpwood charcoal followed by perfectly sized splits of wood. Using our sustainable British charcoal we hit 350°C without adding any wood at all, then adding just one beech split will get you up to your target stone temperature of between 400-450°C.

If you love the purity of cooking on wood on its own, then buy our wood only fuel kit - use our oak kindling to get up to temperature, followed by beech splits to maintain it.
