The Ooni Karu 12 is an unbelievable little oven that can fly up to temperature using just hardwood kindling, but a base of quality lumpwood charcoal will give you a far more relaxed cooking experience - and you'll also use much less wood.

Using our sustainable British charcoal you can hit 350°C without adding any wood at all, then adding just a couple of sticks of hardwood kindling should boost you up to your target stone temperature of between 400-450°C.
