Beech wood is an unbelievable cooking wood, but it has to be very dry to perform to it's full potential so we kiln-dry it to around 15% moisture. It burns clean, smells amazing and creates long-lasting embers - perfect for fire cooking.

Our beech splits are a labour of love - we do all the work so you don't have to, splitting them to approximately 1-2 inches thick. They're the perfect size for any large, well-insulated pizza oven, but we also use beech splits when we're cooking on our Asado grill and our firepit.

Our 20cm pizza oven logs are slightly skinnier than our standard logs, the increased surface area means they light super quickly but they burn for longer than splits - so order a mix of the two if you'd like to combine splits with a longer-burning log.

Each delivery will comprise 8 zipped barrow bags, absolutely packed with hand-stacked firewood until the sides and top of the bag bulge. The bag's dimensions are 40cm x 40cm x 80cm, but once filled the volume is greater as the bags stretch. We pack directly from loose-filled cubic metre cages, and each bag takes 0.425 cubic metres, so each order is approximately equivalent to 3.4 cubic metres loose firewood. Each bag weighs approximately 90kg so each order is approximately 720kg of beautifully dry firewood.
