Gozney Dome Logs
We have two log types for Gozney Dome. Our hardwood "Shorties" are 15cm long and 10cm across, small enough to tuck them in the curve of the oven but big enough to burn for ages! Our 20cm beech wood splits also work a dream in the Dome, burning a little hotter & faster as they're split thinner at around 4-6cm. Both wood types are kiln-dried to around 15% moisture so they light super easily and burn with high, clean heat.
All of our logs for Gozney Dome are 100% beech wood. Why beech wood? Pizzaiolos all over Italy choose it because beech wood burns hot and consistent, and embers better than other hardwoods.
Shorties and splits are for adding to a hot bed of embers, not heating up the oven - you’ll also need hardwood kindling to heat up your oven. Buy one of our Gozney Dome Fuel Kits if you want firelighters and hardwood kindling included.
