British logs stacked in crates - a brand new product we're trialling for winter 2025/2026!

We were offered the chance to stock some British firewood crates this season to see how they sell, and we jumped at the chance. These are made up of a wonderful mix of kiln dried British logs, cut to 23cm so they fit most stoves. They're kiln dried to far below 20% moisture, usually around 13-14%, so they light easily and burn super clean - better for your chimney and the environment.

You might not know, but nearly all of the crates of firewood sold in the UK are imported from Eastern Europe - despite lots of "local" log companies selling them and brushing their origin under the rug, with clever marketing.

If you prefer bulk firewood, you want to buy locally sourced wood and you don't like a driveway tip, our British firewood crates could be the product for you.

The large crate measures 1.2m (W) x 0.8m (D) x 1.2m (H) and contains 1 metre cubed of stacked firewood, which equates to 1.67 cubic metres of loose firewood.

The extra large crate measures 1.2m (W) x 0.8m (D) x 2m (H) and contains 1.8 metre cubed of stacked firewood, which equates to 3 cubic metres of loose firewood.

The large crate measures 1.2m (W) x 0.8m (D) x 1.2m (H) and contains 1 metre cubed of stacked firewood, which equates to 1.67 cubic metres of loose firewood.

The extra large crate measures 1.2m (W) x 0.8m (D) x 2m (H) and contains 1.8 metre cubed of stacked firewood, which equates to 3 cubic metres of loose firewood.

Delivery

We will despatch crate orders within 2 working days of order, on a next-day delivery service using Pallet Track. Deliveries are 9am to 5pm, if you'd like to arrange a morning or afternoon delivery, please contact us before ordering.

Please take care to unwrap and break down your crate carefully, as we can't take responsibility for accidents or injury from unloading.

We can't get away from using a little plastic pallet wrap to protect the crates from rain and some pallet straps to hold the whole thing together. If you'd like to send the plastic back to us for recycling, just get in touch for an address!
