Apple wood is possibly our favourite cooking wood - as soon as you get a fire lit, you can enjoy the sweet smoke smell and you know your food is going to taste amazing! Apple wood is hard, dense and knotty, meaning it burns for ages and creates great embers.

Our applewood logs are produced using timber from an orchard clearance, when a local farmer decided to pursue other interests. Dried to an average of 15-18% moisture our apple logs ignite brilliantly but won't burn out too quickly, and at 25cm long they're suitable for open fire cooking, large pizza ovens and medium to large offset smokers.

Each delivery will comprise 8 zipped barrow bags, absolutely packed with hand-stacked firewood until the sides and top of the bag bulge. The bag's dimensions are 40cm x 40cm x 80cm, but once filled the volume is greater as the bags stretch. We pack directly from loose-filled cubic metre cages, and each bag takes 0.425 cubic metres, so each order is approximately equivalent to 3.4 cubic metres loose firewood. Each bag weighs approximately 90kg so each order is approximately 720kg of beautifully dry firewood.
